What Was Your Favorite Baby Shower Gift?
Not that it is a real important question that NEEDS to be answered, but I get bored with the same ol’ “help I think I am pregnant” crap on here. So I thought I would ask a fun question.
Mine was my BumbleRide stroller.
But an interesting one from my co-worker who is like, super mom got me a leatherman. Ya know, the tool that guys carry. She said being a mom of boys she ALWAYS uses/used hers. For hard to get into toy packaging, toys that needs batteries and the place where they go needs unscrewed first, for her stroller that always broke, ect. Pretty neat gift…after she explained it! Ha ha.

My sister gave me 3 different size wicker storage bins filled with:
A roll of paper towels, a big cylinder storage container, baby wash, baby oil, and a recipe card for homemade baby wipes.
Plus 3 small containers of homemade butt balm, all the ingredients to make my own, and a recipe card. I thought it was such a thoughtful and practical gift!
Money and gift cards are great (but honestly, we used most of the gift cards on ourself for things like toilet paper and toothpaste), but I appreciate the gifts that people put a lot of thought into more.
We lucked out & our parents bought us all the big ticket items. My parents got the rocker & ottoman set, MIL got us the crib & mattress, FIL & Step MIL got us the stroller system. I hate to say it but all of it was my favorite b/c we registered for it so I knew everything I would get would be my favorite of that kind of thing. I did get a thoughtful gift though that I did really love it is the book I’ll Love You for Always I read it after the shower in the nursery & it made me cry!
My mom got me an amazing Raphael etching from Italy of The Mother and Child. It wasn’t practical, but it was definitely awesome and I liked that she picked it up thinking of me in my “condition” while she was on vacation. My fave prcatical gift was my travel system- baby carseat and stroller. It is one of the cutest baby strollers I have seen (black and white houndstooth with red and black trim)…
Ummm. . . I really had a lot before my shower so I didn’t really need much, but my favorite gift was a baby quilt that my great aunt had made me when I was young and she ended up dying of breast cancer 6 months before I got pregnant. It was just really meaningful!
My baby shower hostess organised a diaper raffle. It may not sound like the most glamorous or exciting of presents but I have not had to put my hand in my pocket to buy diapers or wipes yet and will probably not have to do so for at least another month, it has saved us a FORTUNE!
I’m stuck between three that I have gotten.
I got a fifty dollar gift card for wal mart.
A fifty dollar gift card for Baby’s R Us.
And a first aid medical kit for babies.
All of which I LOVED and DEFINITELY will use.
Hmm….my favorite baby shower gift would have to be a $200 gift card for Target. I enjoyed getting to pick out what I wanted and needed!
OMG! All the cute clothes lol… but seriously I think I loved the crib and bedding set the most
My baby shower was like 5+ years ago so it was some time back but I remember my favourite gifts being the practical ones. I loved all the nappies I got, wipes, a couple of soft baby towels and a cute little rattle that even my 14 month now still plays with. You can never have too many nappies or wipes I say and even now 5 years on, the towels still get used, maybe not so soft now hahaha but still do the trick and get the kids dry!! Any nappies that I didn’t use, I just kept for my other babies, they were great!
